ATTY. YMIL RJIV DELA TORRE MATBA

Atty. Ymil Rjiv DT. Matba has been the managing partner of the firm since April 2023. He manages the case load and workflow of the legal team, ensuring efficient service delivery. He also currently teaches property and land law at the Mindanao State University – Tawi-Tawi College of Technology and Oceanography.

His practice includes civil, criminal, labor, and expropriation cases filed in administrative agencies, offices of the prosecutor, and first and second level trial courts; appellate work; and corporate housekeeping and compliance. Atty. Matba previously represented the office of Hon. Senator Francis Joseph G. Escudero to the Board of Trustees of the Tawi-Tawi Regional Agricultural College (TRAC) from September 2022 to May 2024. He also is concurrently the Secretary-General of KASAMA Regional Political Party, a Mindanao-based advocacy group. He served as the Chief Political Affairs Officer of the Lone Congressional District of Tawi-Tawi from July 2019 to June 2022.

Atty. Matba was admitted to the Philippine Bar in 2019. He earned his political science and law degrees from the University of the Philippines Diliman

ATTY. JUSTIN CAESAR ANTHONY D. BATOCABE

Atty. Batocabe is a partner currently on leave due to his appointment as a Director in the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD). Director Batocabe is involved with the DSWD Academy, one of the flagship projects of the current administration, which aims to provide specialized training, capacity-building activities, and other learning development interventions to social workers and paraprofessionals. Prior to joining the firm, he was an associate with Gorriceta Africa Cauton & Saavedra, practicing litigation, corporate servicing, and real estate law.

Atty. Batocabe was admitted to the Philippine Bar in 2017. He received his economics (cum laude) and law degrees from the University of the Philippines Diliman.

ATTY. CHARMAINE V. CAYABAN

ATTY. CHARMAINE V. CAYABAN

Atty. Cayaban has experience in handling labor law, civil and criminal litigation, and expropriation. She was engaged as the Development Management Officer IV at the Department of Agriculture - Bureau of Agricultural Research. She also worked as the legal officer for a trading company, where she primarily handled the company’s labor concerns. 

While pursuing her Juris Doctor degree, she worked as a senior associate at a logistics company, where she focused on managing foreign accounts and outsourcing activities. She also interned at the Department of Foreign Affairs - Office of Consular Affairs in 2015. 

Atty. Cayaban earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Foreign Service, Major in International Trade, from the Lyceum of the Philippines University in Intramuros, Manila. She obtained her Juris Doctor degree from the Manila Law College and was admitted to the Philippine Bar in 2023.

ATTY. ANAVIE R. ALEGRE

Atty. Alegre has worked as in-house counsel and head compliance officer for a family-owned shipping company and its sister companies. As in-house counsel, she handled corporate housekeeping, labor concerns, compliance regulation, and represented the company in court and before government agencies. 

Before her admission to the bar, she worked as a part-time instructor at the State University of Northern Negros (formerly Northern Negros State College of Science and Technology). Atty. Alegre was admitted to the Philippine Bar in 2023. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Political Science-Psychology from the University of the Philippines-Visayas and a law degree from the University of San Carlos.
